Day Star Baptist Church’s newly elected deacon, Bobby Stone, has created a firestorm with his latest public outburst. During the deacons meeting, a discussion arose regarding the old Lottie Moon Offering, which has been synonymous with Baptist Churches for ages. Some records indicate that the offering has been going on since 1888.
However, during the meeting, Mr. Stone had an outburst claiming that Ms. Moon was the mother of Sun Myung Moon. It later came to our attention that once Deacon Stone sobered up, he was convinced that The Lottie Moon Fund did not go to help the Unification Church.
We suspect his ‘deaconship’ will be short-lived.
