Portland, OR — Well, it was bound to happen. Eddie Ezell, a 33 year old Portland native has been fined $10,000 for his “service dog”. The service dog lunged at a local politician who screamed at Ezell for having the animal in public. There is indeed an ordinance that addresses this:
Exotic animals are prohibited as pets in the state of Oregon unless you have previously obtained an exotic pet permit from the state of Oregon prior to 2010.
However, Mr. Ezell stated that this animal identified as a dog, therefore, is not exotic and no crime committed. Of course, the City and the politicians are all up in the air about this. Not only that, Mr. Ezell reveals that he identifies as a corrupt diplomat, so therefore he has immunity.
We will wait and see what happens to Ezell and his service animal!
