We can report that an American-based archaeological team has claimed to have discovered the very first Fish & Chips Diner, in what is now known as downtown Galilee. The team has been on their current excavation since 2002 and finally made their remarkable discovery. In the diner that was discovered, there was an ancient sign that told of Peter’s Fishing Club, along with a daily schedule of fishing tours.
It appears that Peter’s club had no less than four fishing vessels, actually, small boats, that would carry the teams to cast their nets and bring in the fish.
The place was known for its fermented wine. All the locals used to marvel at the fact that the diner never seemed to run out of food. When no one around was hauling in fish, Peter and his boys were always serving them up, most days.
Local residents there told us that the diner was a popular place back in the day. Everybody who was anybody could be found dining there. Jesus was often there before it shut down, and the fishermen decided to follow Jesus.
There was one fellow, who the folks called “the traitor”, but couldn’t recall his real name. No one seemed to trust this fellow. People spoke of him as possibly being a thief. They say he was found later on, hanging from a tree. He must have been a bad one.
So, there you have it. The first Fish and Chips Diner was actually scriptural. You just have to know where to look for it.
