World-renowned evangelist-faith healer, Benny Hinn is furious with a local dry cleaning company and he’s filing a lawsuit, as a result.
Hinn is famous for swinging his coat jacket around as people are lined up, and then as if blown over by a strong wind, they all fall down in unison. Sometimes, he will simply blow on the people, or just breathe on them, and they will collapse into a pile on the floor.
But this time, after Hinn picked up his jacket from the cleaners and went straight to a venue to do what he’s been doing for more than 40 years, all of a sudden, his mojo is gone. As he ministers to the crowd, and they begin to gather in front of the stage, hands and arms raised, Hinn begins to go into his religious babble and the people begin to get worked up. They’re ready for what they came for…Benny Hinn will wave and swing his jacket around, and they’ll all fall down, and when they awake, they will have received whatever it was they were searching for. Hill became frantic because everyone was still standing, looking glassy eyed and bewildered why they were still standing. He screamed a few more words and flung his jacket again. Still nothing. Finally, he started to sing, as he usually does, off-key and loud. As the Hammond organ began to play louder and louder, someone from the crowd below, ran up and flung his coat at Hinn, and in a turn of events, in the blink of an eye, Hinn was down, flat on his back.
When Hinn finally came around and was sitting up on the floor, he began to rant about the cleaning fluid that the dry cleaner used on his jacket. “It ruined my anointing,” Hinn said. “This is far from over.”
